Sumatra PDF

There are so many annoying programs out there. One that comes to mind is Adobe Reader for PDF files. I will admit its not as bad as it used to be but its still annoying. What’s so annoying about Adobe Reader you may ask? Its slow and bloated with so many useless features that most of us average users will never even use.

The other day I was browsing the web and ran across a program called Sumatra PDF. It is a small and lightweight PDF reader that opens at a very quick pace. It can also be placed on a flash drive for use on the go.

Sumatra PDF is a slim, free, open-source PDF viewer for Windows. Portable out of the box. Sumatra has a minimalistic design. Simplicity has a higher priority than a lot of features. It’s small and starts up very fast. It’s designed for portable use: only one file so you can run it from external USB drive. Doesn’t write to registry.

I going to be giving this program a try soon and I’ll let you know what I think in a future post or comment below. In the meantime go ahead and feel free to try it out.
