AVG AntiVirus 9 Free Edition

Something that’s worth mentioning is about a month ago AVG released version 9 of their popular free antivirus software. Version 9 has been out for a few months as a paid version but the free version has just recently been made available to the masses.

I have used AVG in the past and is a great antivirus program. It did a great job at protecting my computer against viruses and spyware but about a few months ago I switched over to the free Microsoft Security Essentials offered by Microsoft. Both programs are good and are rated about the same by the most popular computer magazines.

If you are looking for a good antivirus program then check out AVG AntiVirus 9 Free Edition. I haven’t used version 9.0 yet but I am going to check this out in the future. And if they say you need to upgrade to the paid version to get the best protection. Don’t bother. The free version does a good job already.
